Trailer Watch: SXSW Winner “Lily Topples the World” Celebrates Domino Artist Lily Hevesh

"Lily Topples the World"

“I feel like I found myself because of dominos,” Lily Hevesh says in a new trailer for “Lily Topples the World.” The SXSW winner spotlights the 20-year-old sensation, who has received over 1 billion YouTube views. The only young woman in her field, Hevesh is considered the world’s best domino artist.

The doc sees Hevesh reflecting on her rise to fame and her own journey of self-discovery. “I feel like a lot of people kind of conform themselves to what they think people will like when really that’s not who they are. If you do anything different from the standard social norm it’s considered weird,” she explains. “I think in the past, I just didn’t know how to be me because I didn’t know who I was.”

“Lily Topples the World” made its world premiere at SXSW this year, where it took home the Grand Jury Award for documentary feature. The film premieres on discovery+ August 26 and starts screening at the IFC Center in NYC August 27. “Star Wars'” Kelly Marie Tran is an exec producer on the doc.
