Catherine Hardwicke’s “Miss You Already,” about life-long female friends dealing with birth and death at the same time, has a new trailer.
Best pals Milly (Toni Collette) and Jess (Drew Barrymore) have been through everything together, including eating hallucinogenic mushrooms, but their relationship is thrown into crisis when circumstances threaten to pull them apart. Both women receive life-changing news: Jess is pregnant and Milly has breast cancer, forcing them to figure out how to navigate their divergent paths while remaining a pair. Milly is faced with the grim reality of explaining what chemotherapy is to her children. Meanwhile, Jess and her partner couldn’t be happier about becoming parents.
“If another person looks at me with sad eyes, I’m going to projectile vomit,” Milly confides to her best bud in the new spot for the dramedy. Jess struggles to tell Milly her good news because she doesn’t “want to rub it in that [her] life is so great right now.”
Morwenna Banks penned the script.
“Miss You Already” will make its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 12. It opens in theaters November 6.
