According to the Hollywood Reporter, Melissa Rosenberg, the writer of all five Twilight movies has now surpassed Linda Woolverton as the top grossing female screenwriter with her films grossing a total of $2.56 billion worldwide. Woolverton total take is $2.39 billion. She mostly known for writing successful animated films (The Lion King) and is also the writer of the Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.
But their total doesn’t even come close to the male leader Steve Kloves at $6.8 billion whose scripts include the Harry Potter series. He will add to his tally this year as he is a credited co-writer of the Spiderman reboot.
