Michelle Hilmes wrote a short piece about the series for the Museum of Broadcast Communications that talks about its content and air dates here: http://www.museum.tv/archives/etv/G/htmlG/goldbergsth/goldbergsth.htm. A short biography of Gertrude Berg also is available here: http://www.museum.tv/archives/etv/B/htmlB/berggertrude/berggertrud.htm. Thanks for the interview!

I am looking forward to this film's arrival in Canada, whenever that might be.

People who dedicate their lives to making documentaries are to be admired. It is a hand to mouth existence and a labour of love.

Thanks, Melissa, to spotlighting Gertrude Berg and director Aviva Kempner.

We just heard about this woman for the very first time a couple of days ago while watching a PBS doc about the history of the family in situation comedy. My husband and I were both wondering why we had never heard of Gertrude Berg before, she sounded so impressive, so we will definitely be on the look out for this film.

Run, don't walk, to see Yoo-Hoo. And then tell all your friends. I saw it last month in Washington D.C., it's a masterful telling of the story of an extraordinary Jewish woman BY an extraordinary Jewish woman. Aviva took questions after the showing at the Avalon Theatre, revealing the dedication it took to bring Molly back to the screen. Indeed, she still needed to raise about $150,000 and I'm betting still does -- I hope someone steps up to the plate to ensure the movie gets the distribution and the visibility it deserves. Brava!
