This is a disgrace and something needs to be done about it. The time will come when this too shall change. No one should be held back from the opportunity to creat movies/shows to entertain others and enjoy the rich benefits like the white males. These numbers are insulting to the hard-working women and people of color out there who are good at what they do, but because they are not a white male, they don’t stand a chance in the creative world of Hollywood.

I'm a 30 year old writer/director trying to gain some footing in this business and I often wonder why the hell I keep at this, especially considering the current industry mentality. Of course, failure isn't an option so I guess I can just try to create the quality female roles that I feel are so lacking. Thank you for this great site. What a valuable resource!
