Gloria Calderón Kellett is back with another multi-generational story led by Latinx characters. A trailer has dropped for “With Love,” the latest project from the co-creator of Netflix’s “One Day at a Time” reboot. The holiday-themed series drops on Prime Video December 17.
“Love could be right in front of you, but if you aren’t open, you won’t see it,” we’re told in the trailer for the dramedy. Season 1 of “With Love” centers on siblings Lily (Emeraude Toubia, “Shadowhunters”) and Jorge Diaz (Mark Indelicato, “Hacks”) and their tight-knit family, charting their romantic journeys over different holidays: Christmas Eve/Nochebuena, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, the Fourth of July, and Dia de los Muertos.
“Sometimes it feels like I’m not only dating you, but your entire family as well,” Jorge’s boyfriend complains. Lily’s love interest also has issues with her family dynamics. “Your family hides everything. God forbid anyone ever admit something’s wrong,” he says.
Calderón Kellet wrote every episode of “With Love.” Meera Menon, whose small-screen credits include “Outlander,” “You,” and “GLOW,” helmed the pilot.
