Kiernan Shipka is following up her stay in Greendale with a trip to Europe. The “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” alumna has been tapped to star in “Berlin Nobody,” Jordan Scott’s follow-up to Eva Green-starrer “Cracks.” Protagonist Pictures and Augenschein Sales are launching the film at the European Film Market, set to take place February 10-17. A press release confirmed the news.
As its title suggests, the pic is set in Berlin. It follows Ben (Eric Bana, “Dirty John”), an American social psychologist investigating a local cult. “While he immerses himself into his work, his rebellious teenage daughter, Mazzy (Shipka), gets involved with a mysterious local boy, who introduces her to the city’s underground party scene. As these two worlds head towards an intersection, Mazzy finds herself in great danger and Ben will need to race against the clock to save her,” the film’s synopsis teases.
“Berlin Nobody” is slated to start shooting in September.
Released in 2009, “Cracks,” Scott’s feature debut, is set in the 1930s and follows a clique of girls who are fascinated by their boarding school’s mysterious diving instructor.
Shipka’s other credits include “Mad Men” and “Riverdale.”
