“I see it every day: the illusion of love,” says Clara (Karla Souza, “How to Get Away with Murder”), an OB-GYN with a cynical stance on romance, in a newly released trailer for “Everybody Loves Somebody.” The Dr. is at the center of the romantic comedy, directed by Catalina Aguilar Mastretta (“The Hours with You”).
While LA-based Clara may describe “actual love” as “at best, improbable,” the trailer suggests that she finds herself involved in an unlikely love triangle at her parent’s wedding in Mexico. Clara’s family can’t seem to understand why she’s still single — and can’t seem to stop talking about her marital status — so Clara brings a colleague along as a date to the event. She’s surprised to realize that her ex is also attending the wedding.
