The sixth and final season of Lena Dunham’s “Girls” is almost upon us. The series won’t return to HBO until February 12, but a newly released promo hints at what’s in store for Hannah (Dunham), Marnie (Alison Williams), Jessa (Jemima Kirke), and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet).
The spot kicks off with a “group meeting” initiated by Marnie. The attempt to re-connect the friends and resolve their differences doesn’t go exactly as planned.
As expected, Hannah hasn’t gotten over Jessa’s decision to pursue a relationship with her ex, Adam (Adam Driver). “Regardless of everything that happened, you are still my dear friend,” Jessa insists. Hannah seems totally unwilling to forgive and/or forget Jessa’s betrayal. “I don’t think we ever acted like friends,” she says.
The trailer doesn’t give away a whole lot, but it seems as though Marnie is at a crossroads. Check out the promo to hear Hannah’s advice to her floundering BFF.
