Nominate Women-Written TV Scripts for WeForShe’s 2018 WriteHer List

WeForShe is now accepting nominations for the 2018 WriteHer List. Part of WeForShe’s overall mission to “improve the numbers of female storytellers employed in the industry,” the WriteHer List is an annual collection of the best unproduced TV pilot scripts written by and about women.

“By sourcing industry executives for their favorites, we can provide the town with a curated list of the best available female-driven scripts,” WeForShe writes in a press release for WriteHer. “In turn, women featured on the list improve their marketability both as series creators and staff writers.”

Pilot scripts of any genre or format will be accepted but must feature female protagonists and must be written or co-written by a woman. Writers at every level will be considered but nominations can only come from industry professionals.

Past WriteHer selectees have gone on to work as TV staff writers, signed overall deals, been hired to develop projects, and secured new representation. The 2017 WriteHer List included scripts from Julia Fontana (“Lucifer”), Diane Ruggiero (“iZombie”), and Cindy Fang (“Girl Meets World”).

The nomination period for the 2018 WriteHer List is open until November 22nd, 2017. Go to WeForShe’s website for more information.
