Tina Fey, Nancy Abraham, and More to Speak at PGA Event in NY

Tina Fey in “30 Rock”: NBC

Tina Fey is best known as a writer and actress, but she’s also a powerhouse producer whose credits include “30 Rock,” “Sisters,” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” It’s Fey’s role as an award-winning producer that landed her on the program for The Producers Guild of America’s 2016 edition of Produced By: New York conference.

According to Produced By: New York’s site, the one-day event sees “the most influential decision-makers in the entertainment industry gather as peers to educate, illuminate, and share new technological and economic innovations.” Held October 29 in New York, the event “is truly for producers, by producers.”

Other speakers at the event include Nancy Abraham, the Vice President of HBO’s Documentary programming, Donna Gigliotti, producer of “Silver Linings Playbook” and the upcoming NASA drama “Hidden Figures,” and Hanny Patel, AT&T Entertainment Group’s Vice President of Video Marketing.

Sessions will cover a range of topics, such as “The Truth Sells: Distributing Your Documentary and Building Your Audience,” “TV Today: Embracing the Second Medium,” and “It’s Show(runner) Time: A Primer from the Best in the Business.”

The event is open to the public, and Producers Guild members, industry members, and students may register for a reduced cost. For prices and to register, head over to Produced By: New York’s site.
