Trailer Watch: Get Olympic Fever with “Kerri Walsh Jennings: Gold Within”

“Kerri Walsh Jennings: Gold Within”

The 2016 Summer Olympic Games kick off in Rio on August 5 and beach volleyball player Kerry Walsh Jennings will be competing for the fourth time.

In anticipation of Walsh Jennings attempting to win her fourth straight gold medal, this time without her usual partner Misty May-Treanor, NBC is airing a documentary about the champion female sports star.

The official synopsis promises that “three-time Emmy Award-winning director and producer Gabe Spitzer offers rare, intimate access to Jennings as she balances life as a mother of three, recovering from a shoulder injury, and competing with new partner April Ross in their quest for the gold.”

Walsh Jennings’ determination is evident in the new trailer, which you can check out below, and come the next few weeks, she may just make history.

“Kerri Walsh Jennings: Gold Within” will air on Sunday July 31 at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT on NBC.
