The world’s most lovable weirdo is set to make her triumphant return to Netflix. “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s” fourth season will hit the streamer May 30, Deadline reports. But there’s a catch: your binge-watching will be curtailed. This season is launching in two parts, with the first six episodes debuting May 30 and the second half of Season 4 premiering sometime later this year.
Co-created by Tina Fey, “Kimmy Schmidt” follows its titular character’s (Ellie Kemper) journey to rebuild her life after being held captive in a doomsday cult for 15 years.
Season 3 concluded with Kimmy being recruited by a start-up company, and her roommate, aspiring star Titus (Tituss Burgess), discovering that a song he recorded, “Boobs in California,” had become a viral sensation.
Kemper has received two Emmy nods for her role in the comedy, and Burgess is a three-time nominee. Jane Krakowski, who plays Kimmy’s former boss, also scored an Emmy nod for the show.
