‘Homeland’s’ Lesli Linka Glatter to Direct Navy SEAL Series ‘Six’

Veteran TV director Lesli Linka Glatter (“Homeland,” “Mad Men,” “The Leftovers,” “The Walking Dead”) will helm the first two episodes of and executive produce the military drama “Six.”

A project out of A+E Studios and The Weinstein Company that will air on History, the series centers on the Navy SEAL Team Six. Deadline describes the show as “inspired by real missions, capturing SEALs’ complex personal lives and the life-and-death decisions they make, with each season set in a different location, starting with Africa.”

“Lesli is one of the most talented directors in the business and her strong sensibilities and vision will be invaluable to setting the tone for Six,” commented Jana Bennett, President and General Manager of History. “Not only is she an incredible talent, but A+E Networks has been a leader in providing more behind-the-camera opportunities for gifted female storytellers and incorporating her voice in a male-dominated landscape is vital to the success of the series.”

Glatter is an Oscar, Emmy and six-time DGA Award nominee.
