Kelly Reichardt Retrospective to Tour Europe

After her latest feature, “Certain Women,” gained unanimously rapturous reviews out of Sundance, Kelly Reichardt will have her filmography travel Europe in a career-long retrospective.

The director will appear in person for special events in Prague, where the retrospective will kick off on April 20, as well as Vienna, Warsaw, Stockholm, Berlin and Budapest. The traveling film series will include Reichardt’s newly restored 1994 feature debut “River of Grass.”

“Audiences in many European countries have no avenue through which to appreciate American independent cinema. It’s unthinkable they should not have a chance to see Kelly Reichardt’s exceptional films on the big screen,” said Irena Kovarova, owner of Comeback Company, which will mount the tour. “I trust there are new fans out there eager to see what they’ve been missing, and I welcome the old fans who will cherish the chance to experience them again, and all together.”

The full schedule and additional venues for the retrospective will be announced at a later date.
