“Outlander” is coming back, but much has changed since the first season concluded back in May. For starters, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) is visibly pregnant.
Starz has released a sneak peek of the the steamy period drama’s second season, which sees the cast leaving the Scottish highlands behind for decidedly less rugged terrain.
“Let’s talk about the future and how we’re going to change it,” says Claire. She and husband Jamie (Sam Heughan) relocate to France to intervene in the Jacobite rebellion. The footage suggests that their mission will involve fancy parties in castles, war — and hello — and lots and lots of kissing.
Starz is keeping expectant fans guessing about when to anticipate the return of Claire and company. The premiere date for the second season hasn’t been announced, but we do know to expect it sometime in spring 2016.
