Women & Hollywood Is Coming to London

Over the last several months, the conversation surrounding gender inequality in Hollywood has grown much louder. This new conversation with Melissa Silverstein — writer, founder and editor of Women and Hollywood — titled “The Status of Women in Hollywood” will set out where women are now and the challenges moving forward towards creating true systemic change that would allow diverse voices to be a part of the Hollywood ecosystem.

Melissa Silverstein will be in conversation with Holly Aylett, Research Fellow at Birkbeck and Head of Research at European Women’s Audiovisual Network, EWA, and Sophie Mayer, writer, film journalist, educator, activist and author of “Political Animals: The New Feminist Cinema” (2015).

The event is free and will take place at Birkbeck College, University of London on December 3, 2015, from 2pm to 4pm.
