The Film Society of Lincoln Center will devote Thursday, September 17, to the career and work of Athina Rachel Tsangari, its 2015 filmmaker in residence.
The FSLC’s An Evening with Athina Rachel Tsangari will include a conversation with the Greek director and a double feature of “Attenberg” and “The Slow Business of Going.” Her highly anticipated next film, the buddy comedy “Chevalier,” competed at Locarno and will screen at NYFF and TIFF this month.
Tsangari’s producing credits include “Before Midnight” and “Dogtooth.” At Lincoln Center, Tsangari is reportedly working on “White Knuckles,” described as “a screwball action thriller about two criminal sisters” by Variety. Deadline notes that it will involve “VAT fraud, amour fou, architectural infiltration, and electrically amplified fist fighting.”
