One of Women and Hollywood’s most anticipated titles of 2015, Carol Morley’s “The Falling,” has received a North American distribution deal from Cinedigm.
Set in 1969 at an all-girls school, the film stars Maisie Williams (“Game of Thrones”) as a student in a high school overtaken by a twitching and fainting epidemic. We caught the world premiere of “The Falling” at the London Film Festival last year and described the atmospheric coming-of-age story as “swoon-worthy” and “a bold, compelling and utterly inspiring piece of work.”
“’The Falling’ is a mesmerizing psychological drama that delivers a tremendous emotional punch,” said Yolanda Macias, Cinedigm’s Executive Vice President of Acquisitions. “Carol has made an intriguing and unsettling film which has cult status written all over it.”
In addition to directing the feature, Morley penned the script.
Expect to find “The Falling” in theatres and on VOD late summer 2015.
