Isabella Rossellini to Head Cannes 2015’s Un Certain Regard Jury

Isabella Rossellini has been named the president of the Un Certain Regard section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival (May 13–24).

The Un Certain Regard competition selects an international winner for his/her “original and different” work. The 20 films contending this year will be announced on April 16.

Rossellini’s tenure as jury president will coincide with Cannes’ celebration of the centenary of her mother Ingrid Bergman’s birth. The “Blue Velvet” actress and “Green Porno” star-director will attend the screening of the documentary “Ingrid Bergman, in Her Own Words,” as well as launch the “Ingrid Bergman Tribute,” a show based on the “Casablanca” actress’s biography and letters with husband Roberto Rossellini.
