Noomi Rapace to Star in Sci-fi Thriller ‘Rupture’

Swedish actress Noomi Rapace has landed the lead role in “Rupture,” a sci-fi adventure thriller about a single mother who is kidnapped by a mysterious organization and learns an extraordinary secret about herself while trying to escape.

In the last few years, Rapace has left her footprints — or maybe her stomp-prints? — by kicking ass in movies like “Prometheus” and the original “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” film trilogy.

“Rupture,” which will begin shooting this June, will be produced by AMBI Group, which is owned and run by Andrea Iervolino and Lady Monika Bacardi.

Commented Iervolino, “’Rupture’ is an ‘event’ movie and perfect vehicle for Noomi to showcase her immense talent. We’re excited to bring this project to life with her in the lead.”
