‘Monster’ Director Patty Jenkins Announces First Film Project in Over Ten Years

Patty Jenkins has announced her first feature-directing project since 2003’s Monster, which garnered Charlize Theron the Best Actress Oscar, as well as its equivalents from the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards.

Jenkins will helm a remake of the Norwegian thriller Jackpot, which centers on four men trying to kill one another after the quartet win big on a sports bet.

Since Monster, Jenkins has worked primarily in TV, winning an Emmy for The Killing while directing episodes for Arrested Development, Entourage, and Betrayal.

We’re glad to see her back in feature land.
