Producer Gina Belafonte, Killer Films chief Christine Vachon, and writer-director-actress Jocelyn Towne will be among the headliners at the inaugural Fueling Female Filmmakers (F3) event, a new program from the CineCause Women’s Initiative to provide women directors with financial, professional, technological, and distribution support.
Taking place on October 15 in Hollywood, the all-day forum will bring together 25 up-and-coming female filmmakers with Belafonte, Vachon, and Towne, as well as Lisa Dietlin (President/CEO of Lisa M. Dietlin & Associates, Inc.), Natalie Irby (filmmaker/executive producer), Linda Brown (President of IndiePR), Sonya Waterworth (Co-Founder, Director of Acquisitions at Yekra) and Bec Smith (agent).
According to F3’s press release, the event will include “project pitches and discussions with female industry professionals, discussing a variety of topics including: film financing, distribution modeling and effective industry networking.”
Five filmmakers will be awarded financial support and/or private meetings with distributors.
