Jennifer Lopez returns to the thriller genre in The Boy Next Door, a lascivious guilty pleasure about obsession and control.
Lopez plays a teacher and single mother who has a one-night stand with her teenage neighbor. Or at least she thought it was for one night. Noah (Ryan Guzman) returns to her house, befriends her slightly younger son, and begins to wreak havoc in her life because he can’t have her.
The script is from first-timer Barbara Curry and helmed by action director Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious).
The Boy Next Door will be released January 15.
