Patricia Clarkson and Debra Winger to Be Honored by Provincetown Film Festival

The Provincetown International Film Festival will honor actresses Patricia Clarkson and Debra Winger on its 16th anniversary.

Clarkson will receive the Excellence in Acting Award, and her most recent film, the dark comedy Last Weekend, will open the festival.

Winger will collect the Faith Hubley Career Achievement Award. Her last significant role was in 2008’s Rachel Getting Married, in which she played Anne Hathaway’s mother. She received a Best Supporting Actress nod from the Independent Spirit Awards.

“We are delighted to honor Patricia Clarkson and Debra Winger at this year’s festival,” commented PIFF Artistic Director Connie White. “It is perfect timing to honor Patti, as we can celebrate her remarkable talent and also spotlight her beautiful performance in Last Weekend as our opening night selection. In choosing Debra, we get to highlight one of our favorite actresses and a career shaped by thoughtful and intelligent artistic choices, a hallmark of the annual Faith Hubley tribute.”

PIFF will take place on June 18–22.
