Women and Hollywood is Looking for a Summer Intern

Women and Hollywood’s amazing current intern, Laura Berger is taking a summer leave. (I hope you have enjoyed her writing on the blog this week.) So we need someone to cover for her beginning in June. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in writing and women’s issues, especially if you love pop culture.

Here’s the job description:

  • Update the weekly newsletter
    dedicated to spreading the word about films by/about women — add new releases,
    link to relevant content on the site, remove titles that no longer playing,
    etc.
  • Transcribe interviews with female directors, actors, and writers.
  • Conduct research projects as needed and update presentations.

There will also be opportunities to review films, interview talent and get some writing experience.

This is a remote position and you will need solid internet access. The position reports to editor (Melissa Silverstein) and news editor (Inkoo Kang)

The job will take 10–15 hours per week. It will run from June 15 — August 15. You will be working from home and can
mostly work according to your own schedule. All communication will take place
via email and GChat.

Small stipend available. (If you are not US based and don’t have a social security there is a ceiling you can be paid.)
