Rachel Weisz and Toni Collette will play best friends in Catherine Hardwicke’s upcoming comedy-drama Miss You Already.
Morwenna Banks’ script finds two lifelong friends being pulled in different directions when one becomes pregnant and the other falls ill.
Hardwicke commented, “When I met Morwenna Banks and read her script, I really felt her passion for this story. This is something she lived through. She managed to take real life and turn it into a powerful, laugh- and cry-out-loud screenplay.”
Weisz and Collette last co-starred in 2002’s About a Boy.
Screen Daily reports that shooting will begin in September of this year.
