A teenage nun (Agata Trzebuchowska) on the verge of pleging herself to the Catholic Church discovers the truth about her family origins in Ida.

Set in 1960s Poland, the Rebecca Lenkiewicz-penned drama finds Ida learning from a distant aunt that she is Jewish and that her parents were killed during the war. The trailer features gorgeous black-and-white compositions and a powerful story about family and identity.

Ida opens May 2.
