Ever wish the series “Silicon Valley” featured more women? Well, Paul Feig, “New Girl’s” Kim Rosenstock, and Freeform are here for you. Per Variety, “Girl Code” is currently in development at the network. Created by Rosenstock and directed by Feig, the half-hour comedy will be set in an all-female incubator.

The series will focus on “an antisocial tech CEO and an outspoken feminist non-profit warrior who must put aside their issues with each other in order to mastermind a groundbreaking, all-women tech incubator,” the source specifies.

Taking inspiration from women coders, robotics, and entrepreneurs, Anonymous Content’s Joy Gorman Wettels (“13 Reasons Why”) originally brought the concept to Feig and Rosenstock. She will exec produce “Girl Code” with Feig, Rosenstock, and Jessie Henderson of Feigco Entertainment. Paramount Television and Anonymous are producing.

Feig has helmed women-driven features including “Bridesmaids,” “Ghostbusters,” and “Spy.” He is currently filming “A Simple Favor,” a thriller centered on a blogger whose best friend goes missing. Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively are starring. “Parks and Rec,” “Nurse Jackie,” and “Weeds” are among Feig’s TV directing credits. In 2016 the director received the first Athena Leading Man Award at the Athena Film Festival.

Rosenstock is writing and exec producing an as-yet untitled comedy for NBC. The series, about a newly single woman who is forced to turn to her family for help, is also being exec produced by Amy Poehler and has a put-pilot commitment.
