The outpouring of love for “Killing Eve” is showing no signs of slowing down. The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation has announced the winners of the 2019 Gracie Awards, given in recognition of “exemplary programming created by women, for women and about women in all facets of media and entertainment, as well as individuals who have made contributions to the industry.” BBC America spy thriller “Killing Eve” is being honored in the Drama category, and star Sandra Oh won Actress in a Leading Role – Drama for her role as an MI5 officer.
The 44th edition of the Gracie Awards will take place May 21 in Los Angeles.
The Gracie Awards will recognize A&E’s “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” in two categories: Non-Fiction Entertainment and On-Air Talent – Lifestyle and Entertainment.
“Good Wife” spinoff “The Good Fight” is also among the honorees. The CBS All Access legal drama is being celebrated with the Ensemble Cast – Grand Award.
“Our leadership is proud to honor the best of the best who embody the spirit and intention of the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation’s Gracie Awards,” said Becky Brooks, Executive Director, Alliance for Women in Media Foundation.
Christine Travaglini, President, Katz Radio Group and Chair of the Board of Directors added, “In the more than four decades since the inception of the Gracie Awards – what stands out in 2019 is bravery. The courage of storytellers to share poignant, relevant, and compelling content. This will be a year of true celebration,” she emphasized.
