cities of the Cambodian countryside to the bustling garment factories of modern Phnom Penh. The documentary traces a devastating and beautiful story of an
ancient culture ravaged by globalization and the ever changing environment. This village and this film is but a small example of what is going on around

After nearly seven years on the shelf, Jonathan Levine’s All The Boys Love Mandy Lane has finally come to light. On the surface, Lane is a
seemingly typical teen slasher flick starring a then unknown Amber Heard as Mandy Lane, a shy girl who has come into her looks over the summer to be
worshipped by the boys at her school. When a group of hormone-soaked classmates invite Mandy to a secluded ranch for the weekend, typical horror tropes of
drinking, sex and teens mysteriously dying come into play. However, Levine takes these tropes and flips them on their head, creating a teen slasher flick
that is reminiscent of its 70s and 80s predecessors but with a fresh and current take on gender dynamics. (Kerensa Cadenas)
