Beautiful Creatures, based on the bestselling YA novel written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, follows Lena Duchannes (Ginger and Rosa’s Alice Englert), a mysterious girl with supernatural powers after moving to a new town. Lena will be claimed by light or dark on her 16th birthday, further complicating things are a love interest and a community that is very aware of the powers Lena holds. Looks like we may have the new (and dare I say more interesting) Twilight on our hands. Film also stars Emma Thompson and Viola Davis.
The film will be released on February 13, 2013.
