Millie Bobby Brown and Anna Klassen Team Up for Netflix’s “A Time Lost”

Millie Bobby Brown in "Stranger Things": Netflix

Millie Bobby Brown is bringing a tearjerker to Netflix. The “Stranger Things” breakout is set to produce an emotionally charged drama for the streamer, Variety reports. “A Time Lost” is based on an original story by Brown and her sister, Paige Brown, who is also among the feature’s exec producers.

Actors haven’t been cast yet, and it’s unclear whether either of the Browns will appear in “A Time Lost.” The pic depicts a “long-standing feud between two Long Island families comes to a head when one of their teenage daughters is diagnosed with cancer,” according to the source.

Anna Klassen is penning the script. She’s also been tapped to write “Dorothy and Alice,” a feature about the friendship between “The Wizard of Oz’s” Dorothy and “Alice’s Adventure’s in Wonderland’s” Alice, for Netflix.

Millie Bobby is best known for her Emmy-nominated portrayal of Elle/ Eleven in “Stranger Things.” The nostalgia-fueled smash hit will return for a fourth season, though its premiere date has yet to be announced. Her other credits include “Godzilla: King of the Monsters,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Intruders.” “United States of Tara” and “South Dakota” are among Paige’s credits.

No actors have been cast yet. Anna Klassen is attached to adapt the story in which a long-standing feud between two Long Island families comes to a head when one of their teenage daughters is diagnosed with cancer.

“We are so grateful to Netflix for their confidence in us and this beautiful story, which we have spent years writing and developing,” said Millie Bobby Brown and Paige Brown. “It’s about friendship, family, and overcoming obstacles when it feels like the world is pushing you down. It’s been a labor of love, literally.”

Lisa Nishimura, Netflix’s VP of independent film and documentary features, added, “Millie is an extraordinary creative talent. We’ve been lucky to have her in our family from the beginning of her career. It is a genuine thrill to witness Millie bring her distinct vision to the screen, now as a writer and producer, alongside her sister on this wonderful film.”
