“Ever since my son went to college, I’ve been having these crazy fantasies,” says Kathryn Hahn in a new trailer for “Mrs. Fletcher.” An adaptation of the 2017 Tom Perrotta novel of the same name, the HBO limited series sees Hahn playing Eve Fletcher, a single mom on the verge of major change. Eve’s son moves away for college, and she’s left reevaluating her past, present, and future.
“I used to be fun. Now I’m boring,” Eve tells a new friend. But her newfound appreciation for internet pornography is encouraging her to step outside of her comfort zone and spice up her life.
“Private Life,” “A Bad Moms Christmas,” and “Transparent” are among Hahn’s recent credits. She received an Emmy nod for the latter.
Check out the trailer to see Eve flirting with a much younger man and to catch a glimpse of how her son is adjusting to campus culture.
“Mrs. Fletcher” premieres October 27. Nicole Holofcener (“The Land of Steady Habits”) directed the pilot.
