Dismissed as “a beauty queen with a hot boyfriend,” Patty’s (Debby Ryan) life remains far from perfect in Season 2 of “Insatiable.” By her own account, she’s “a total mess.” She’s also a murder suspect — and guilty.

“There are things about me that I wish I could change but I can’t,” says Patty. “Nothing can change who I am or what I’ve done.”

Encouraged by lawyer and beauty pageant coach Bob Armstrong (Dallas Roberts) — who helped cover up her crimes — not to let the past drag her down and to leave “all the drama behind,” Patty vows to take control of her life. “I couldn’t think about death or destruction,” she explains. “I need to focus on my future. And then who knows what I could do.”

Lauren Gussis (“Dexter”) created “Insatiable” and serves as showrunner. The dark comedy returns to Netflix October 11.
