Attenberg, written and directed by Athina Rachel Tsangari has been making its way around the world winning many awards including best actress at the Venice Film Festival and the top award at the International Women’s Film Festival in Dortmund, Germany (where I was on the jury) to name just a few.

The film has been determined to be Greece’s entry in the foreign language category for the 2012 Academy Awards.
