Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer of ‘Broad City’ to Write and Produce Movie with Paul Feig

We couldn’t possibly imagine better news to start your weekend than this: The stars and creators of Comedy Central’s “Broad City,” Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, are reportedly developing and producing a film with Paul Feig.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the inimitable duo have sold a feature-length “untitled comedy project” to 20th Century Fox. The bad news is — and brace yourself, it’s pretty disappointing — that neither Glazer nor Jacobson will star in the project. Nor is Feig slated to direct the project. We’re hopeful, though, that he will use his clout to encourage the studio to hire a woman director, since he’s been a vocal proponent of giving female filmmakers more opportunities.
