Three new shows were given the green light yesterday and they all focus on young women. The good news is that the Jennifer Weiner (yes, the best-selling author) created show The Great State of Georgia starring Raven Symone (please don’t lose any more weight) is included. Here’s the log line from this show: “aspiring actress with a larger than life personality who, along with her science geek best friend (Majandra Delfino), try to make headway in New York City.”
The other shows picked up include Switched at Birth which is about two teenage girls who were, you guessed it switched at birth, and The Nine Lives of Chloe which is about a teen who “starts developing heightened abilities and discovers she’s being pursued by a mysterious figure. Chloe soon learns she’s part of an ancient race which has been hunted by human assassins for millennia — and that she may be their only hope for ultimate survival.”
