The marvelous Amy Sherman-Palladino will soon have another trophy to go with history-making pair of Emmys. According to Variety, the creator of “Gilmore Girls” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” will be honored with the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television at the Producers Guild Awards on January 19.

Named for the TV mogul behind “All In The Family” and “One Day at a Time,” the Norman Lear prize counts Shonda Rhimes among its previous recipients.

Sherman-Palladino has produced “Gilmore Girls,” its Netflix revival, “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life,” “Mrs. Maisel,” and ballet dramedy “Bunheads, among other projects. She won the best comedy writing and best comedy directing Emmys for “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” earlier this year, making her the first woman to nab both awards.

“Amy Sherman-Palladino is everything you want a TV producer to be,” said PGA presidents Gail Berman and Lucy Fisher. “She’s smart, she’s tenacious, she knows the story she wants to tell and how to put together the right team to tell it. Her characters and stories may span different eras, but her sensibility is unique and unmistakable.” They added, “Watch any episode from one of her series for just five minutes, and you’ll instantly understand why she’s built such a wide and passionate following.”

“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s” second season is now streaming on Amazon Prime. The beloved series about a ’50s housewife breaking into stand-up comedy has already been renewed for a third season. Its sophomore outing is up for three Golden Globes: Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy, Best TV Actress, Musical or Comedy (Rachel Brosnahan), and Best Supporting TV Actress (Alex Borstein).
