Pop TV and UKTV announced that “Flack” will be returning for Season 2, Deadline reports. Set in London’s cutthroat PR world, the dark comedy stars and is executive produced by Anna Paquin. Its sophomore season recently kicked off production.
Paquin portrays Robyn on “Flack,” an American expat who excels at managing her celebrity clients’ crises but struggles to keep a handle on her own, particularly her addiction struggles.
“Flack’s” cast also includes Lydia Wilson (“About Time”), Rebecca Benson (“Game of Thrones”), and Genevieve Angelson (“Good Girls Revolt”).
“I can promise even more of the darkly comedic client dramas as well as fascinating insight into the tumultuous personal lives of our exceptional ensemble of badass women,” Paquin teased of “Flack” Season 2.
At age 11, Paquin won an Oscar for her supporting turn in Jane Campion’s “The Piano.” She starred as Sookie Stackhouse for seven seasons on HBO’s supernatural drama “True Blood.” Among her other credits are “Alias Grace,” the “X-Men” franchise, and “Bellevue.” You can catch her next in the fifth and final season of “The Affair.” It debuts August 25 on Showtime.
