When Women and Hollywood interviewed Lynn Shelton earlier in the year at Sundance, she mentioned her next project, Laggies, written by Andrea Seigel. Shelton described it about a twentysomething woman, who is passive in her life. When her longtime boyfriend proposes, she freaks out and hides out with her new best friend, a 16 year old girl.
Newly minted Oscar winner, Anne Hathaway has signed on to play the lead role of Megan. And the very busy Chloe Grace Moretz will be playing Annika, Megan’s 16 year old friend. Sam Rockwell and Mark Webber are also expected to join the cast.
Shelton’s latest, Touchy Feely, which premiered at Sundance, was just picked up by Magnolia Pictures.
