Anne Hathaway has just signed on to star in and produce The Lifeboat, an adaptation of the novel by Charlotte Rogan.
Set in 1914, Hathaway will star as Grace Winter, a young newlywed woman who survives the sinking of an ocean liner she and her husband are on. However, Grace’s husband, Henry, risks his own safety to make sure Grace has a spot in a lifeboat that quickly reaches capacity. While Grace remembers how she and Henry met, she must also survive both the elements and the other passengers on the lifeboat.
Hathaway is currently filming Song One and the busy actress will follow that with Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar this Fall.
