Applications Now Open for Women in Film Finishing Fund

Hey lady filmmakers- if your film is ready to go but you can’t raise that last bit to finish it, you should apply to the Women in Film Finishing Fund sponsored by Netflix. You could get a grant of up to $15,000 as well as other in-kind and production services.

Here’s what Women in Film president Cathy Schulman said about the fund: “The Film Finishing Fund works to foster films by, for and about women, helping to close the financial gap to enable talented filmmakers from around the world to get their projects across the finish line.”

Don’t miss out on this opportunity.

Details:

In order to apply for a FFF grant, there are slightly different requirements for documentary and narrative films. A documentary filmmaker must have completed principal photography and a rough cut, while a narrative film maker must have finished 90% of principal photography and a rough cut the time of application. The program funds filmmakers working in both short and long formats in all genres — narrative, documentary, educational, animated and experimental. Filmmakers do not have to be Women In Film members to apply for the FFF, and we encourage applications from around the world. Please note that student projects are not eligible to receive Film Finishing Funds.

Submissions are accepted through April 29 and winners will be notified in September.
