Asian American Festival to Feature Asian Women Filmmakers Panel

The 37th Asian American International Film Festival (July 24-August 2) in New York City will host a panel of five Asian women directors, writers, and producers to discuss their thoughts and experiences on capturing an ever-globalizing world.

Titled “Asian Women Filmmakers Taking on the Wider World,” the expected panelists are Hannah Espia (director of Transit), Cho Li (director of The Rice Bomber), Yeh Ju-Feng (producer of The Rice Bomber, Red Cliff), and Chuti Tiu (writer/star/co-producer of Pretty Rosebud). Filmmaker S. Casper Wong will moderate.

Co-hosted by the Asian American Women Media Makers, the panel will take place at 4 PM on July 25, 2014, at the Museum of Chinese in America.
