“Bond” producer Barbara Broccoli and “Wonder Woman” casting director Lucinda Syson are set to be recognized at the Casting Society of America (CSA)’s first-ever UK Artios Awards, Deadline reports. They’ll receive honors at the London event, which is being co-hosted by The British Independent Film Awards (BIFA). The Artios Awards take place in LA and NY, “but for the first time the CSA European Branch will join with BIFA at the Most Promising Newcomer Dinner to present UK awards to Syson for excellence in casting, and producer Broccoli with a Lifetime Achievement Award,” the source details. The UK event will take place the same night as the event in the U.S., January 31.

“Unrivalled creativity, unique vision, and professional commitment – these qualities make Lucinda Syson and Barbara Broccoli the perfect honourees for our inaugural ceremony in London,”said CSA Vice-President Rich Mento. “These dynamic women embody the spirit of the Artios Awards, and CSA is thrilled to honour their indispensable contributions to the craft of casting and the global entertainment industry.”

Best known for her work producing the “Bond” franchise, Broccoli’s other credits include 2017 Annette Bening-starrer “Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool,” Christina Choe’s 2018 drama “Nancy,” and “The Rhythm Section,” Reed Morano’s upcoming spy thriller starring Blake Lively. Besides “Wonder Woman,” Syson’s many credits as a casting director include “Blake Runner 2049,” “Gravity,” and “X-Men: First Class.”
