Barbra Streisand to Write Memoir About Her Career and Personal Life

EGOT winner Barbra Streisand will pen a book reflecting on her life and her five-and-a-half decades in showbiz.

Viking will publish the as-yet-untitled memoir in 2017. Streisand has discussed chronicling her legendary career and her privately guarded personal life since 2009.

One of the most accomplished women in entertainment, the singer-actress-director last appeared on the big screen in 2012’s “The Guilt Trip.” The last film she helmed was 1996’s “The Mirror Has Two Faces.” In 2010 she published an illustrated book called “My Passion for Design” that featured her Malibu mansion.

If you can’t wait until Streisand completes her manuscript to get an insightful look at the woman behind the icon, we highly recommend film historian Karina Longworth’s 38-minute “You Must Remember This” podcast episode about Streisand’s pioneering acting and directing careers.
