Berlinale Event to Address Status of Women in Film

If you’re heading to the Berlin International Film Festival and consider the film world depressingly white and male-dominated, listen up: an event at the upcoming fest is demanding more diversity and visibility in cinema. Hosted by Dortmund|Cologne International Women’s Film Festival, the international network discussion “We Want More — Diversity & Visibility” will address the status of women in the film industry, tackling issues such as race, age, sexual orientation, and disabilities.

The event will take place February 22. Admission is by invitation only.
