The Summit will reexamine "Pariah" 10 years after its release: Focus Features

The BFI Woman with a Movie Camera Summit has announced its 2021 program. Set to take place July 17-18, the online event will feature more than 20 panels, discussions, and Q&As exploring women’s contributions to film and TV.

This year’s lineup includes a Q&A with “Girlfriends” director Claudia Weill and an In Conversation with Karina Longworth, the film historian behind popular podcast “You Must Remember This.”

The Summit will include panels discussing the importance of intimacy coordinators and exploring cinema’s culture of male violence toward women. There will also be a British East and South East Asian filmmaker roundtable.

The event is set to revisit a number of titles such as Karyn Kusama’s “Jennifer’s Body” and Dee Rees’ “Pariah.”

You can find more information about the event and purchase tickets on the BFI’s website.
