Next week when I head to London one of the things I am going to do is try and find a copy of the 3rd season of Borgen. It’s already played in Europe and I must find it. That’s how much I am into this show. I can’t wait. If you are behind and haven’t seen season 1 it is being streamed out of KCET.
For the uninitiated, Borgen tells the story of the first Danish female Prime Minister. It’s compelling, interesting, real and a times brutal regarding the toll politics takes on family life. Here’s what I wrote at the start of the second season.
Season 2 will be released on DVD here in the US today by MHz networks and we are going to giveaway 2 copies to Women and Hollywood readers. To win your copy all you need to do is write in the comments below why you like the show. Best answer wins. (Make sure to leave a real contact email when you comment so I can get in touch with you.)
Seriously, this is a terrific series, with a strong female lead, as good as anything I’ve seen on TV. If you can’t find something good at the movies and you needed another reason to stay home, this is it.
