British Independent Film Award Nominations 2011: The Women

Checking out the nominations for the British version of the indie spirit awards. The awards will be handed out on December 4.

Based on the info we only have one female directed film vying for best picture and one female director up for best director. There are no women on the list for best debut director and from what I can tell (because they don’t list the directors) there is not a female directed documentary nominated. If anyone knows if any of the shorts are women directed please let me know. A pretty disappointing list regarding women.
